Checkerboard fly

These surf flies have transformed over the years from a bad copy of a Hasting's Surf Rat to what you see here. The first day out it landed a very nice corbina and continues to be my go-to-fly. When wet, the orange version looks like a new born perch, the halibut and leopard shark love it. They even landed calico bass. Surf Flies-$3.25 each

Hard/Soft Shell Sandcrab Flies

Hard or soft shelled sandcrab flies tied in regular and rice-crispy size, both work great. Burrowing sandcrab, give them what they want.

SURF GUPPIES

These beauties work great when fishing over rocky bottoms. Fished with a sinking line, they dive, then rise in the water column giving great action while not hanging up on the rocks.

EBW

Eric's Blood Worm, idea by Eric of Eric's Tackle, I tied this up and caught fish right away.

Flashchovie

For both surf and offshore. I've taken my biggest corbina, perch and leopard shark on this fly. It's also landed barracuda, cabrilla, calicos and other rock fish.

Dropper Fly

Run the Checker Board surf fly up your line, tie a double surgeons knot, leaving the fly in the loop, then tie the Dropper twelve inches down the line from it and you have an un-beatable combo. It also works great by itself.
A selection of surf flies is available for $3.25 a fly or $36.00 per dozen plus shipping. Fly orders can be mixed to total a twelve count. Flies are available in sizes #2, #4 and #6.
